Save the Watersheds
MORE, Inc partners with DOEE (The Department of Energy and Environment) to protect our watersheds.
————
Through a collaborative effort, we are setting out to engage and educate the Deanwood community about the illicitly connected water pipes. These pipes are causing sewage to run into the watershed and the river.
What is a watershed?
An area of land that drains or ‘sheds’ water into a specific waterbody. Watersheds drain rainfall, snowmelt, and in our case, sewage, into the river (and eventually into the ocean).
Have you been noticing a constant smell of sewage in the air? That smell is coming from misplaced pipes underground that send waste to our watersheds instead of Blue Plains. Some homes also have pipes incorrectly connected to stormwater systems. These hidden problems cause issues for everyone!

Our partnership with the DOEE is committed to fixing the pipes in the neighborhood and keeping sewage out of our backyards. This partnership expands to include the residents of the community. We are not able to properly fix the issue without your support and assistance.
